SHAKTI's story began way back in 1982, when Late Shri Laxman Das Gupta started a business house of minerals and chemicals in Delhi. This was followed by a period of sustained expansion, diversification and growth.
It's divisions through sustained hard work have been steadily adding to company's mineral and chemical quality assets.

Shakti's minerals are available upto 2 micron such as Barium Sulphate, Calcined Kaolin, Calcite, Calcite Granules, Calcium Carbonate, China Clay, Dolomite, Glass Beads, Mica, Silica, Steatite, Soap Stone, Talc, Whitting and many more in Ordinary & Super Snow White Grades.
The company also gave birth to its sister concern namely M/s P.R. Enterprises.
SMC has its own fleet of bulk loading trucks for catering to immediate and continuous demands for the product.
Research and Innovation
SMC has developed world class Lab facilities at all its locations in order to continuously innovate and keep high quality checks for regular produce during manufacturing and before dispatch of the material to its customer organizations. Malvern Mastersizer 3000 in both Wet and Dry machine for particle size, Brightness tester and Draw down are some sophisticated instruments / methods being used for quality control.

Leadership Team

Ram Gupta studied from Delhi University and has more than 45 years of expertise in minerals. He looks after marketing, sales and imports.
Vijender Gupta works in mineral field for more than 40 years. He looks after QC and operations for SMC.
Dr. Hitesh Gupta has gained competitive edge from prestigious colleges such as Birla Institute of Technology, Institute of Management Technology and Hindu College (Delhi University).
He has almost 18 years of B2B/Industrial Experience in field of Senior level Management. He is a founder member and Chairman of SPEAK Foundation.
